My Favorite Mosque: Selimiye Mosque in Edirne, Turkey

Islam & Architecture

These two terms are very important in my life. I try living Islam and everything that it has to offer I try putting into my life, while architecture, for me, is the place where I can live Islamic way of life. Therefore, those two are inseparable for me. Islamic Architecture therefore has to have Islamic principles in its roots, or otherwise it cannot be called Islamic. Because of these two segments, my research and my interests lay in the understanding of Islam, and applying this understanding to existing architecture and when creating new.
